Craft Glue Stick (DIY)

Glue sticks are made by combining polymers and additives. Three thermoplastic elastomers are commonly used for making glue sticks: EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), APAO (Amorphous Poly Alpha Olefin), and PA (Poly Amides). Various tackifiers are also incorporated in these hot melt glue sticks.

The molten mixture is then shaped, cooled, and cut to size. The polymers and additives are combined when heated – the substance is molten. It flows down long tubes through cooling containers to set. The hardened glue is then sliced to the correct length. Addichem glue stick is a 100% synthetic polymer without modifying any tackifying resins.
